About T2c
Turn 2 Counselling and Coaching (T2c) was created following repeated identification and increasing awareness of poor mental health care providers. As mental health issues grow, so to does the lack of quality, affordable mental health care. this ge.
Talking therapies and counselling services offered to the emergency services, armed forces and vetrans of both were found to be lacking.
Following decades of service, both in the Armed Forces and with a UK Fire & Rescue Service, T2c is proud to offer a realistic approach to counselling therapy. Inconjunction with therapy, I also provide elements of life coaching to an rapidly increasing number of clients. My clients range from all ages and varying walks of life, from global CEO's and specialist military and police units, to those struggling with day to day living and addiction.
I work hard to offer a unique and tailored therapeutic approach that builds a trusting therapeutic relationship fast. This enables a deeper access to core issues quickly promoting a solution focused therapeutic approach. The client always remains both the driving force of each session and the core of the work we do together. I take pride in being able to understand the specific needs and differing languages and humour of the armed forces or emergency services. The work is hard and there is no magic wand but there is always a way through.
T2c core belief is that all clients have the ability to create and instigate change if the environment and therapeutic relationship is right. No Judgement, absolute Confidentiality.
“Awareness Creates Choice, Courage creates Change”

My Name is Ash Griffiths and I served with Royal Marine for 10 years. I have been lucky enough to serve across the globe with some of the best people in the world. I have worked alongside specialist, elite military and police units in various arduous and hostile locations.
I have been employed all over the globe in the super yacht and maritime security industry.I am currently employed within the UK Emergency services as a Fire & Rescue supervisory manger and or the last 20 + years I have been in various different FRS roles, from operational to training manager.
I Believe there is a lack of good, targeted and effective mental health support available to men and women. This is why I started T2c. My aim is to help people get through the enevitable tough times they may face. Reducing the stigma that surrounds mental health especailly with thoise from the both th emergency services and UK Armed forces.
What I Offer
I offer a bespoke hollistic person centered counselling and therapeutic service, that is tailored to the clients needs. We work in a humanistic integrative approach to counselling, meaning the client has the ability to 'fix' themselves if the core conditions are met within the therapeutic relationship. We integrate different therapeutic models, including CBT, in order to give the client the absolute best we can offer. What separates me from the rest is that I have real life experience of the UK Military and Emergency Services.
What you need to know
The client is always at the centre of what we do, we don't give advise or 'fix' things with some sort of magic wand. In the right therapeutic and listening environment, the client can begin to understand, accept and make the changes needed to move forward with resilience and confidence in themselves. We offer a non-judgmental, confidential, and empathetic therapeutic environment where the client and therapist build a relationship. This will enable the client to explore in depth, and develop a rationale for their feelings and emotions. We work together to develop 'tools' and strategies to help the client cope with these emotions. Trust, confidentiality and being able to follow the BACP ethical framework, is at the very core of everything we do at Turn 2. This ensures that the client gets the very best of what we offer.
All initial sessions will be conducted online giving the client piece of mind and the confidence to choose whether they are able to work with a member of the team. All sessions are 50 minutes in duration and prices are discussed and negotiated during the initial session.
Face To Face Therapy Sessions
Face to face therapy, is the conventional approach to creating a safe, trusting theraputic environment. The client and the therapist build a relationship where the client can explore, in depth, elements that are having effects on their mental wellbeing and health. Our rooms are located on the South Coast of England and are booked in advance.
Walk & Talk Therapy Sessions
This is our most popular form of therapeutic intervention, for both male and female clients. A session involves the usual session time frame, but without being restricted by four walls. Walking in various beautiful locations has proven to be be effective and are tailored to suit the individuals' needs . Locations include the beautiful south coast or woodlands of the New Forest. This can be an all-weather approach depending on the clients needs and requirments.
Online
Therapy Sessions
Another popular form of counselling and therapy is now Online. This requires a stable internet connection and the ability to have a video call. We use encrypted platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp. This element was one of few good things to come out of the Covid Pandemic but allows a therapeutic intervention anywhere in the world. This is popular with clients who regularly find themselves out of the country or who are more comfortable online.
Telephone Therapy Sessions
Although not as popular as the other three approaches, there are some clients who prefer counselling and therapy sessions on the telephone, without the intrusion of a video call. Again this can suit clients from all over the world and the aim would be to move toward online sessions when confidence is built and access to a stable internet connection can be confirmed.
